Cancellation Policy

No Subscriptions to Cancel
Obsidian does not use subscriptions. There are no recurring charges, monthly fees, or annual contracts. You add credit to your prepaid balance and consume it at your own pace. There is nothing to cancel.
Pause vs Destroy
When you are finished working with a vault, you have two options:
Pause
Stops the GPU instance and halts billing. No charges while paused. Resuming usually restarts the same machine with your documents; if the host has released it, a fresh instance starts and you will need to re-upload them. You need a positive balance to resume.
Destroy
Deletes the GPU instance and its disk, including your documents and generated outputs. Its saved chat history is deleted from our database too. This action is irreversible. No further charges will be incurred for this vault.
Account Closure
To close your Obsidian account, destroy all your vaults and then delete the account from Settings → Privacy & Data, or contact us at support@obsidian.expert. Upon account closure:
- Your profile is anonymised. Saved chats were already deleted with each vault. What we keep, and for how long, is set out under Data Retention in our Privacy Policy.
- You can no longer sign in, and no further charges are made.
- Any remaining prepaid balance may be refunded upon request (see our Refund Policy).
No Cancellation Fees
There are no cancellation fees, early termination charges, or penalties of any kind. You are free to stop using Obsidian at any time without cost.
