What working with us looks like
We send work to you, not the other way around
No bidding, no public profile, no lead-chasing. Obsidian's customers raise tasks; our team routes the right brief to you based on your expertise and availability.
Every task arrives with context
You receive the customer's brief (redacted if they chose) and the names of the files it concerns, not their contents. Before you start, our team agrees the scope, target turnaround and fee with you by email.
Async-first, private link access
You read the brief through a private portal link — no app to install, no specialist account to manage. Access ends when you deliver. Your deliverable is kept in the task record so the customer can access it.
Paid per engagement, on delivery
The fee for each task is agreed with our team by email. No tiers, no minimums, no exclusivity. Decline anything you don't have bandwidth for.
What we ask
Bar to entry
— Active license or recognized credential in your domain. We may ask for a copy.
— At least seven years of relevant practice or equivalent senior-level experience.
— Willingness to sign Obsidian's standard NDA and a per-engagement assignment letter.
— Based in a jurisdiction we can pay into legally (US, EU, UK at launch; more rolling out).
— Two professional references we can call.
